Assateague Island National Seashore...

The wild "ponies", click to enlarge
...Maryland and Virginia, a barrier island, lots of shore,
come on down, in good weather, look and explore;
besides the beach which is many miles long,
there are salt marshes, and grassland, where the "ponies" belong.

The "ponies" are wild, and they're horses, just small,
left over for colonial flocks, they flourish, all,
some are rounded up, each year in the spring,
by the Chincoteague Fire Department, into which, money they bring.
